DT – exploring & evaluating

In our quest to make Jack the WORLDS GREATEST SANDWICH we have been testing out some of the products already on the market.
We explored the taste, texture and smell of various sandwiches and then described what why we liked them (or didn’t like them as the case was)

Then we tasted lots of ingredients like olives, feta, avocado, Camembert, rocket and other things that we’d never tried before. We learned that we liked some foods that we’d never tried before and Mr Hardy and Mrs Knight did lots of laughing at our faces when we tried things we didn’t like!

Now that we’ve tested the products and chosen our ingredients we’re going to bake our own bread and design our sandwich!!

We’ve been sharing our favourite poems in assembly

Yesterday Mr Hardy shared his favourite revolting rhyme with us. Today in assembly we all brought some of our favourite poems to share. We had lots of fun watching the performances and joining in!!!

Year 5 visited us today to share their story performances. They were extremely exciting and they used lots of instruments and props.

Mrs Knight has shared her favourite story with us!

She’s dressed up as a witch from ‘Room on the Broom’ written by the author Julia Donaldson.
