In Maths this week we have been learning about capacity. Today we worked in pairs to find out the capacity of different containers. We read the scales on the measuring jugs and wrote down how many ml/litres the containers held. We had lots of fun and everyone worked so hard. Well done!
Tomorrow we will be using our new skills to measure out the different ingredients to make our own marvellous medicines!
We won the attendance award last week with 99.2% attendance! Well done everybody. We are all trying really hard to come to school on time everyday. Let’s hope we get to keep the trophy next week too!
Keep it up Elf Owls!
For the past couple of weeks we have been focusing on the first chapter of ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine!’ In the first chapter George has to look after his Grandma and she is very mean to him. She bosses him around, is extremely fussy and even tells him that he needs to eat caterpillars and slugs! Urgh!
The children have really enjoyed exploring the characters. We even had a visit from Grandma!!( See pictures below) We have been busy creating character profiles and we also wrote a diary entry from George’s point of view about his day with grumpy Grandma!
Hello everyone! Welcome to our class blog. This term we are reading ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’ by the fantastic Roald Dahl. We will be doing lots of work related to the new text. We can’t wait to show you what we get up to. Watch this space!
